Núria Fàbrega Ribas

PhD Student

Núria Fàbrega holds an MSc in Bioinformatics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Barcelona. During her master’s, she developed a text-mining tool to extract transcription factor-gene interactions from literature. Currently, as part of the AI CDT in Biomedical Innovation (AI4BI) programme, her PhD focuses on developing methods to transform unstructured biological information from scientific articles into structured and accessible data. She is supervised by Prof Kenneth Baillie, Prof Ian Simpson, and Prof Mirella Lapata.
